How we work

Key business areas

This is one of the key areas of our company’s business. As a leading trader in the Polish market, we are engaged in energy trading, whereby we connect producers and consumers through our trading operations. The Trading Office currently operates in 23 markets around the world, which means that every day it processes and analyses huge amounts of data, to transfer energy to where it is needed most. In addition, we support our clients in trading energy certificates and certificates of origin. As the energy market becomes increasingly complex, our department benefits from advanced technology and the support of our analysis department, which we combine with proven trading strategies and market experience.

The Retail Office is engaged in the sale of electricity, generated from 100% renewable sources, to B2B end users. It features various sales channels to reach key customers, and small and medium-sized enterprises, among others; we also use telesales and cooperation with external partners. The tasks of the sales force include: acquisition of new customers and providing them with day-to-day service, drafting offers, conducting commercial negotiations and finalising them in the form of contracts for the sale of electricity.

Another interesting area of our operations involves the development of our own renewable energy investments. These allow us to build energy independence and the competitiveness of our company, as well as the Polish economy. Our portfolio includes the Wicko Wind Farm, and we are also the co-owner of the photovoltaic farm in Zwartowo, the largest in this part of Europe.

This area is handled by Respect Energy SolarWind, a member of the Respect Energy Group. The services offered by this entity cover every stage of an investment: development of large-scale photovoltaic projects from the stage of acquiring the right to land or real estate to obtaining a construction permit, general contracting of photovoltaic power plants, and management and servicing of photovoltaic farms. In their work they rely on modern technologies and top-quality components, working with global manufacturers.

This is an area that provides intensive support to our operations in both wholesale markets and direct sales. The office is divided into two sub-teams – the Meteorological Analysis Department and the Sales Analysis Department. The Meteorological Analysis Department focuses on the processing of large data sets and is involved in the preparation of tools to forecast the impact of meteorological conditions on renewable energy production as accurately as possible. The work of the Sales Analysis Department is centred around retail energy trading. In their day-to-day work, team members create forecasts and analyses relevant to the company’s portfolio.

The Controlling Office prepares analysis and reports to support our Management and business departments in making key decisions. The Office is also tasked with ensuring liquidity, i.e., the company’s ability to meet payment obligations in a timely manner. Controlling is responsible for cost control at Respect Energy, reporting the results of individual business units, and is in charge of financial reporting to external customers.

The Accounting Office delivers comprehensive financial and accounting services to all our companies. Work is performed by the internal department of the Shared Services Centre, which is staffed by experienced specialists, experts in accounting and finance with accounting qualifications and extensive practice in the tax area. The tasks assigned to employees include bookkeeping, comprehensive tax services, handling of electronic payments, settlements with employees, warehouse accounting services, preparation of financial statements and external reporting (to the Central Statistical Office, the National Bank of Poland, the Energy Regulatory Office, among others).

The IT Office is responsible for supporting and handling the IT processes of all the companies in our group. The Office has three separate departments: one is responsible for maintaining the current infrastructure, and also provides us with all the necessary equipment. The second department is responsible for cybersecurity. The third team develops and maintains technology systems and tools. We use state-of-the-art technologies that build our competitive advantage.

The Communications and Marketing Office plans, implements and coordinates all image-related, promotional and marketing activities of Respect Energy. We set strategic guidelines for the company’s communication activities against the business strategy and in cooperation with the Management Board. We create the visual side of RE and offer support to all Offices in this regard. We produce promotional materials, carry out online activities and assist in the preparation of all external and internal communication messages. We participate in establishing and nurturing relationships with clients and contractors. We cooperate with the media, the market and relevant stakeholder groups. We plan and execute advertising, marketing and PR campaigns. We arrange the attendance of company representatives at congresses, conferences, trade fairs and industry symposiums. We take care of the Respect Energy brand, image consistency and clarity of communication messages.

The HR Office is responsible for all people-related processes in the organisation and is divided into two teams. The Human Resources and Payroll Team handles HR administration, payroll, leave, working time accounting, employment contract signing and termination. The Talent Acquisition and Development Team supports the company’s strong growth through recruitment and building the Respect Energy employer brand. The team also deals with employee development and motivation, the employee evaluation process, and makes sure the company has a friendly atmosphere.
